25 March 2020,

Dear Friends & Colleagues,

I hope you are all well.

Business as Usual
We are fully committed to supporting you, your business and your clients. Following a number of Government announcements, we have been taking steps to ensure we can still operate with a key focus on protecting our staff and the wider community. Our intention is to continue to operate as normal until we are no longer permitted to do so, provided it is operationally viable.

Due to the nature of our business, there is a good chance we will be able to continue normal operations ongoing but obviously this is a unique situation and we need to follow any Government guidelines issued to us. At this point, other parts of the supply chain have implemented minor changes to some of their premium services, but all are currently collecting as normal, please see a summary below:

Hauliers

  • Timed pallet deliveries will no longer be guaranteed.
Couriers
  • All collections and deliveries will be 'contact - free' and couriers will not be recording a signature on their device.
  • Timed deliveries will no longer be guaranteed.
  • If someone is not available to receive a ‘signed for’ delivery in person or if a network restriction has meant it is not possible to deliver - the couriers will be charging for the return to sender without notification. We are monitoring this and there have only been a handful of examples so far.
Protecting our staff
In order to provide maximum protection to our staff, he majority are working from home. We will be responding both by phone and email in the normal way.

To protect our warehouse team we have also increased spatial separation in the warehouse between employees. The aim of this has been to ensure they are not working in close proximity to each other. In addition to this, the increased cleaning regime we introduced two weeks ago is continuing as normal. To protect staff further when orders are completed for the day, we are allowing them to go home so this means they are minimising the time they have to spend in the warehouse. From our perspective this is also a sign of gratitude and to thank them for all their ongoing hard work and dedication.

We will keep you up to date with developments as they unfold but in the interim please assume that we will be shipping orders as normal.

Best wishes to you and your families.

Diana + Paul
